Structure & Activities

Prioritising the equal participation of government, not-for-profit, business and community organisations and individuals.

Leadership Group

The leadership group has primary responsibility for, and oversight of, IF’s activities. With a membership of 35, the group meets six times annually to share information and set strategies.

The leadership group has oversight of the IF brokerage fund. This fund is used to supplement existing funding of participating agencies, where they can demonstrate that such funding will lead to improved outcomes in the activity focus areas identified by the Leadership Group. The Leadership Group is chaired by a not-for-profit member, St Patrick’s Community Support Centre.

Steering Committee

The steering committee is a subgroup of the leadership group with delegated authority to make decisions on key matters including finance, recruitment, and significant risk issues. The Steering Committee has a membership of nine and meets at least six times a year, as well as meeting as needed for time sensitive issues.

Working Groups

The members of our working groups are drawn from the Leadership Group, as well as other key organisations and individuals who are involved in the collaborative work. Presently there are three working groups:

  • Youth Initiative: Established 2016, chaired by the Palmerston Association, membership of 24.
  • Davis Park: Established 2016, chaired by SMYL Community Services, membership of 13.
  • Housing and Homelessness: Established 2020, the Chair and membership are yet to be finalised.
